India fired missiles at Pakistani territory early today, killing at least eight people, according to Pakistan, which said it had begun retaliating in a major escalation of tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals.

In Singapore, a new multi-storey driving school will be built in Choa Chu Kang Way if plans to rezone a site near Kranji Camp III are approved. It will replace the existing Bukit Batok Driving Centre, which is expected to make way for new housing projects.
