PHOTO: THE STRAITS TIMES Dear BT reader, Today was Nomination Day, which saw prospective candidates turn up at nine nomination centres around the island to submit their papers to stand in the May 3 general election. There was plenty of uncertainty and drama, with some ministers making surprise appearances where they weren't expected and the People's Action Party (PAP) winning Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC via a walkover after a no-show by the Workers' Party (WP).
